It’s been an interesting and challenging few months but a pandemic doesn’t stop progress. Ethiopia has not escaped the pandemic, but so far, its effect has not been as devastating as predicted.
New Fence and Flags! March 2020
We’ve just got the news that the community have raised the funding we requested for a fab new fence around the school. That should help keep out sheep, goats and cattle and our children in! Next, we’ll be putting up school signage and a few national flags!

A picture is worth a thousand words, but seeing first hand through your own eyes is a thousand times better. How to describe what I witnessed with my eyes? You are reading this, not seeing directly, but perhaps through words and a couple of photos, I can give you an approximate sense of my experience.
A Year Like No Other! January 2020
On Tuesday, December 18th we finally opened the first phase of our school - the first four classrooms and the loos! Kit bags of resources were carried in by truck - the 40km journey from the nearest main town. The UK flag was raised above the heads of 212 pupils wearing their smart new red and black uniforms.
