A New School Year Begins - October 2021

We are very happy that phase 3 of our project has begun. Two hundred and fifty children, seven classes, seven teachers and a Director began the new school year on October 4th!
The parents of the children tell us they are so happy to have the school which is growing rapidly. Many pupils, parents, teachers and officials attended an opening ceremony to mark the start of the new school year.

Further teacher training and new construction will also begin soon. This year the project aims to build a new block with three rooms. This will temporarily be the school library, the Directors Office and a Staffroom/Resource Room and will eventually be two new permanent classrooms.

Sadly, we still cannot go out to work with our team in Ethiopia due to Government restrictions but we hope to be with them soon. There have been plenty of zoom calls between a distance of 8,000 miles in order to get the show on the road. We are hoping to hold an online Christmas Auction to raise funds for resources at the school so please watch out for our announcement soon!
